Second this evening was Ragen Engel, a freshman from Akron in a 49.50. The sophomore, Megan Burns, from the University of Buffalo won the 100 Freestyle tonight in a 48.67. Rounding out the top three was Ashely Niznik, a senior from Akron, in a 1:57.88.
Laura Dawson, a junior from Ohio University, took second in 1:56.70. She won the race in a 1:53.12, breaking the meet and MAC conference record. Ludwika Szynal, the junior from Akron, took her second individual backstroke title of the weekend. Third was the freshman from Eastern Michigan, Nicole Swartz in a 16:49.11. The second place finisher, Hannah Miller also from Buffalo, touched the wall in a 16:38.01. Powers won the event in a 16:24.91, an NCAA B-cut time standard.
